Abstract

|
농촌지역 성인 여성들의 사회인구학적 특성, 건강
행태, 건강 수준 및 의료이용 빈도를 측정하고 각 요인
들간의 관련성 여부와 그 정도를 파악하기 위하여,
2004년 3월부터 4월까지 경상북도 일개 농촌지역의
성인 여성 432명을 대상으로 설문조사와 신체계측을
실시하였다.
단순 분석 결과를 살펴보면 연령이 높을수록 건강
검진 경험, 음주와 흡연이 많은 한편 비만자의 비율은
낮았다(p＜0.05). 교육 수준이 낮을수록 건강검진 경
험, 정기적 운동을 하는 비율이 낮은 한편 음주자가 적
었다. 경제적 수준이 낮을수록 건강검진 경험이 적고
흡연자가 많았다(p＜0.05). 구조방정식 모형을 구한
결과 연령이 높을수록 적정체중을 유지하는 사람이
많은 한편, 또한 연령이 높을수록 주관적 건강수준이
낮고 건강 염려가 많으며 고혈압군이 많고 의료이용
빈도가 높았다(|T|＞2.0). 또한 경제적 수준과 교육
수준이 높은 경우에 비만군과 고혈압군이 적으며 의
료이용 빈도가 낮고 건강자신감이 높았다(|T|＞
2.0).
건강 행태 중에서는 적정체중 유지만이 고혈압과
의료이용 빈도에 유의한 관련성을 가지는 것으로 단
순분석(p＜0.01)과 구조방정식 모형(|T|＞2.0)을
통하여 검정되었다.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among sociodemographic factors, health behaviors, health status, and medical care utilization of middle aged and old women in a rural area.
Methods: A questionnaire survey was performed to 706 women in a rural area, and 423 women without history of hypertension nor diabetes mellitus were selected for the study subjects. The analysis techniques employed were contingency table analysis and structural equation modeling.
Results: There were lower obesity prevalence, lower subjective health status, more worry about health, higher hypertension prevalence, and more medical care utilization in elder women(|T| >2.0). In women with higher economic status or higher educational level, there were lower prevalence of the obesity and hypertension, less medical care utilization, and higher health confidences (|T| >2.0). Higher hypertension prevalence and more medical care utilization were observed in the obese women(|T| >2.0). The socioeconomic status had the strongest effect on the health confidence and medical care utilization, and obesity had the strongest effect on hypertension.
Conclusions: It would be necessary to maintain adequate body weight and control obesity in order to improve the health status of rural women. And effective community program for high-risk women. i.e. old age, low educational level, and poor economic status, should be implemented.
